We, humans, love to get in our own way, don’t we?
I know I did, for many, many years.
Throughout much of my 20s and 30s, I felt stressed out, often anxious, and would wake up feeling tired and exhausted. I naturally assumed that the cause of my stress was coming from my job, the sales targets I was trying to reach, and at times, other people too!
Because of this, I became very good at changing my circumstances. Job making me feel stressed? Right, I’ll go and get another one....
One of the most common issues my clients bring to our coaching sessions is along the lines of there's something I want to do in my life/work, and I'm not doing it.
It might be marketing/business development, exercise/healthy eating, putting business ideas into action.. or something else.

Monday morning is often a time when we look at the week ahead - what needs doing this week, what didn't get done last week...
...and as we're thinking about all the things that need doing, it can often feel overwhelming before the week's even started!
And one of the reasons our head fills up is because we're thinking about the future, the past, in fact, our mind is focused on everywhere except the one place where we are at our most effective, resourceful, and productive...
Here we are in March!
I think we're safely out of the woods now when it comes to endless reminders on social media about new years resolutions! I guess by now, it's assumed that we've either:
a) Smashed it.
b) Started, but given up somewhere between 2 Jan and 28th Feb.
c) Didn't even bother setting any.
Well, I'm not here to resurrect that conversation, (who am I to talk, I'm in the C camp) but where I'd like to shine the spotlight is those moments when we look at where we are in life,...

Do you know that feeling when an idea pops in your head, quite unexpectedly, but makes total sense to you about what to do next? The long winter break gave me much pause for thought about the way I work, and what came to mind with such clarity was this - I don't want to work on my own anymore, or rather, I want to create something with other people.

- Working fewer hours, with more time for a life outside of work?
- Having a healthier body, whether that means losing a few pounds or managing a health condition?
- Finally getting that business off the ground?

- Being able to speak to a group of people without feeling scared?
